I thnk that mini cards are my favorite kind of cards to make right now. This card measures 4x4 and I actually made a while ago. Since tomorrow is the 4th of July I thought it would be a great time to share. This card was inspired by another card I seen by Amy Sheffer. I really love her style and try to use it when make SU! cards.
Thank you for visiting!

The new catalog starts TODAY! You can click on the catalog and browse to see what exciting goodies offered by SU!. There are some exciting new items. We now have cling foam to mount your wood mounted stamps with so you can use our clear blocks with. This I believe is some quality cling foam. Already I use the stamps without the labels because the quality of the cling itself is amazing.
The new in color ribbons are a must have. I love the cute ruffling on both sides of the trim.
There are now several packs of fabric swatches that will be available for the entire catalog year. My favorite is candy cane Christmas. I love non-traditional colors used for Christmas.
Also, be sure to check out the new hostess program. you can now earn items from the catalog for half price!! Now the difficulty is choosing what you want for half price.

Paper Organization

This is how I organize my paper and paper scraps. I use the Stampin’ UP! Paper holders and dividers while storing my paper. I also make my own labels and use the word window punch to make the labels specifying the color.
On each divider I have attached a 8x8 plastic pocket that I found at the store. The pocket is adhered with sticky strip. Yet another great use out of that fabulous tape. I use this pocket to store my scraps. This makes it really simple to know if I have any scraps and a wonderful way to store them. I chose to sort my colors by SU! Color families in the same order that is shown in the Idea book and catalog.

Card Camp 2011

I decided to go ahead and join a card camp to help motivate myself and create more. Doing color challenges is harder for my just because I have to use the colors ... even if I would not generally put them together myself. So for this challenge I decided to a Missing you kind of card. I think of this card as a clean and simple kind of card. It does not take much time to make ... And I love the result!
I do have to say that I am proud of myself that I said I am going to make a card today ... and I did. GASP :)

Stampin Up! Craft Ink Pads

Stampin' Up! has announced that in the upcoming catalog they will not longer sell the full sized CRAFT ink pads in the core colors. Apparently less people were using them and so they will only be available in spots and a full size empty craft pad. I love using craft ink pads... they are a pigment ink and much thicker ink than the classic dye ink, so they have a longer drying time. So if you love the craft ink pads (full size) you may want to consider buying the full sized empty ink pad and your favorite craft refill and making your own.
Stampin' Up! will only offer Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White in the full size.
Stampin' Up! Craft pads have a foam pad compared to the Classic inks fabric pad.
What are Craft Ink Pads good for?
Embossing- Crafty ink stays wet longer than classic ink allowing you to emboss in your desired color.
(1) Prep cardstock with embossing buddy (2) Stamp image in craft ink (3) With powder pal cover image in clear embossing powder and tap off excess (4) Emboss with heat tool (5) Marvel at the beautiful work you did because now the image is embossed in the same color you stamped your image.
Scrapbooking
Fabric- Use to stamps images on fabric to make your own unique design. Stampin' Up! does not recommend the following colors for this technique; Only Orange, Really Rust, More Mustard, and Whisper White.
Coloring wood/Chipboard- Craft is a thicker ink it is ideal for the coverage it gives on the On Board items that Stampin' Up! sells.
So remember they are not just GONE. The craft pads are just not available in all the colors. If you like craft ink you would want to buy the craft refill and an empty craft pad to make your own craft ink pad.
