Stampin Up! Craft Ink Pads

Stampin' Up! has announced that in the upcoming catalog they will not longer sell the full sized CRAFT ink pads in the core colors. Apparently less people were using them and so they will only be available in spots and a full size empty craft pad. I love using craft ink pads... they are a pigment ink and much thicker ink than the classic dye ink, so they have a longer drying time.  So if you love the craft ink pads (full size) you may want to consider buying the full sized empty ink pad and your favorite craft refill and making your own.

Stampin' Up! will only offer Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White in the full size.

Stampin' Up! Craft pads have a foam pad compared to the Classic inks fabric pad.

What are Craft Ink Pads good for?

Embossing- Crafty ink stays wet longer than classic ink allowing you to emboss in your desired color.
(1) Prep cardstock with embossing buddy (2) Stamp image in craft ink (3) With powder pal cover image in clear embossing powder and tap off excess (4) Emboss with heat tool (5) Marvel at the beautiful work you did because now the image is embossed in the same color you stamped your image.
Scrapbooking

Fabric- Use to stamps images on fabric to make your own unique design. Stampin' Up! does not recommend the following colors for this technique; Only Orange, Really Rust, More Mustard, and Whisper White.
Coloring wood/Chipboard- Craft is a thicker ink it is ideal for the coverage it gives on the On Board items that Stampin' Up! sells.

So remember they are not just GONE.  The craft pads are just not available in all the colors.  If you like craft ink you would want to buy the craft refill and an empty craft pad to make your own craft ink pad.
